Intelligent system for the assessment of joint movements in motor and cognitive rehabilitation based on wearables with applications to telerehabilitation services

• Description:

The objective of the this project is to bring the technology to a TRL7-8 through a validation with patients in a clinical setting with technical and clinical supervision. To achieve this general objective, the following stages or partial objectives are identified: 1) Analyze the requirements of the intelligent system based on the patent to be valued to allow its use as a rehabilitation and / or tele-rehabilitation tool through meetings with clinicians; 2) Design wearable sensors for their application in rehabilitation and tele-rehabilitation environments that are easily usable by non-expert users and to comply with the applicable directives to obtain a future CE marking. 3) Optimize activity detection algorithms based on artificial intelligence techniques and movement quality measurement algorithms so that they can be executed in real time and in a multiplatform environment. 4) Adapt and develop the therapy monitoring and management software and develop a tele-rehabilitation platform. 5) Test de system under 2006/42 / EC on machine safety and 2014/30 / EU on electromagnetic compatibility. 6) Carry out experimentation sessions with patients with technical and clinical supervision to reach a level of maturity of the TRL7-8 technology.
